Re: NUC5i5RBY wont boot

Ok, I have exhausted all of the normal diagnosis steps for this kind of issue. Something must have failed on the board. If you are still under warranty (check here: Determine if Your Product Is Still Under Warranty), I suggest that you contact Intel Customer Support directly and arrange for the unit to be replaced via RMA. Here is contact information, by geography:

Intel Customer Support Contact Information for US and Canada

Intel Customer Support Contact Information for Europe, Middle East and Africa

Intel Customer Support Contact Information for Asia-Pacific

Intel Customer Support Contact Information for Latin America

You can also use their chat service (here: Intel Customer Support Chat Service), but this is English-only and subject to office hours for the PST timezone.

Ok, it sounds like whatever driver is being downloaded by Windows Update is causing the issue (and my gut says it is something related to refresh rate). Reinstall using the latest version on Intel's Web page for this NUC (here: Downloads for Intel® NUC Kit NUC7i5BNH) and configure Windows 10 to not update drivers automatically.

Hope this helps,

P.S. Just a thought: Have you tried using a secondary HDMI port on the TV?

Boot to optane drive?

I have a dell that can take an optane M.2 board and that works fine either as enabled optane memory speeding up main drive access, or disabled in that mode and just formated as a D: drive. I would like to  do a clean windows install to the optane drive. When I remove the SATA drive and boot a windows install stick it say sit can't find any drive to install windows on. Why not?

Yea, you aren't finding the release because the version number you are seeing is the raw driver version number, not the version number for the driver installation package. The driver installation package contains two drivers (Intel HD Graphics and Intel HD Audio) and, as a result, the version number for the package is maintained separately from the version numbers for the individual drivers.

As for why Microsoft is changing the rules, what can I say? This is the company that upgraded folks PCs to Windows 10 without their permission and who are now refusing to support these PCs if anything goes wrong - and denying them their license if they upgrade their hardware...

Related to B75 and Z77 chipset driver version

Questions related to B75, Z77 board using Intel 7 series chipset.

What version of the IRST driver is compatible with Windows 10?

I understand that the 15.x version is up-to-date and I know there is a compatibility issue.

I know that version 12.9 is stable and not compatible with Windows 10.

Which version should I use?

And what version of the ME firmware should I use?

I am aware that the latest version of ME firmware is 8.1.70.1590.(for 7-series chipset)

Hi

I installed ubuntu and all the other programs (python, mavproxy, ...) and flash the FPGA and the arducopter.px4.

Only after I inserted the command: "sudo apt-get autoremove modemmanager" - the FCU back to life.

Thanks,

Doron Fine

Hi Jesus,

I think that the reboot command was not implemented in ArduCopter.

I also cannot reboot/reset the FCU when runs in SITL mode...

Is there another way to do this (turn off power for the FCU for example) ?

thanks anyway,

exception in mraa

Dear community members,

I am playing around Intel Edison's GPIO with mraa using Java, and got an exception shown below when I executed the sample code (BlinkIO.java):

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: mraa.mraaJNI.ERROR_PLATFORM_ALREADY_INITIALISED_get()I

        at mraa.mraaJNI.ERROR_PLATFORM_ALREADY_INITIALISED_get(Native Method)

        at mraa.Result.<clinit>(Result.java:24)

        at mraa.Gpio.dir(Gpio.java:67)

        at BlinkIO.main(BlinkIO.java:58)

I searched this exception name, but I got no further information about the details of the exception description

"Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: mraa.mraaJNI.ERROR_PLATFORM_ALREADY_INITIALISED_get()I".

Could anybody tell me what this exception means?

Best regards,

Re: SR300 depth and IR are not working

Laptops processors are usually not upgradable because the manufacturer fixes the processor the the circuit board (called the 'motherboard')  with permanent solder instead of having the chip plugged into a socket like on desktop machines.  Also, the motherboard usually has to have in-built compatibility with the chip replacement, so even if you could insert a new chip, it  would not work with the PC motherboard.

If you were considering an X-series processor and DDR memory, it would probably be cheaper just to get a laptop with a 6th generation processor (the minimum for the SR300 camera).  As 6th generation Skylake is approaching a few years old now, you may be able to pick up a good deal somewhere on a Skylake laptop.  I myself use an Acer Aspire ES 15 laptop with Skylake processor as my main work machine.

The only two available options are 59Hz and 60Hz and with both the problem occurs. I believe 59 or 60 are quite common refresh rates so that seems to be OK?

Hello Sharon

I already have the most latest version.  I installed it off of arches community archives last night and the problem just continues.  If anything it has gotten work.

If your camera was working up until now and then suddenly stopped, it suggests that something has updated in Windows that affected the camera.

I would usually recommend downloading the camera drivers from the support website of your computer's manufacturer, in case the manufacturer has tweaked the configuration to work with their own machine specifically.  If the camera was working and then stopped though, I would suspect Windows as the cause rather than the RealSense drivers.

Can you tell me the version of Windows on your machine please?  It should be the second line down, 'Version', on the System Information window.  Thanks!

When are the new depth camera's to be released ?

We are a robotics company, and for some kind of unknown reason all depth camera vendors seam to aboard their production.
Which amazes me a lot, its the time of robotics, and one requires something better then the kinect one these days.
But most online depth camera's are not even near kinect 360, so maybe some of the forum members here can recomend us a a HD TOF camera from some vendor.

Hi George,

I think you'd need to write specific code for this. If you are running the slam rosnode for Euclid, you should be able to save data from the /tf topic, and I think it will give you the position that you were looking for.

I've been having some issues with Intel Dynamic Platform & Thermal Framework drivers. I have already described a part of my problem here however I have now discovered more issues that are directly linked to Intel DPTF.

Whenever I boot up my computer I get the following event report under System:

If I try to manually start any of these three services I get the following message:

I have the latest Intel DPTF 8.2.11003.3588 driver installed which I downloaded from HP.

Any help on how to fix this issue is appreciated.

s1200sps + supermicro sc825tq-r720lpb tracking power failures

intel s1200sps mainboard has the i2c ( SSI compliant 1x5 pin connector J9F1 to provide I2C monitoring of the power supply. https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/server-products/S1200SP_TPS_R1_1_S1200SPL_S1200SPS_S1200SPO.pdf) connector to track failures from psu on intel's own supported cases.

Has anyone managed to get supermicro's PDU (for example PWS-721P-1R) information of power failures?

When I test to plug out power cable I get OK readings from intel's bmc:

Wireless disconnections with Dual Band 7260 + 802.11n network

Hello,

I have big issues with my wireless connection and I found this support forum with very similar problem described, so maybe you can help me. Especially in this topic : Intel dual band 7260AC for desktop hangs on Windows 10 creator edition with IPv6 enabled

I have the same symptoms : frequent wifi disconnections despite an up to date configuration with Intel Dual Band 7260 and a network on 802.11n. I had sometimes same kind of problems before but not frequently and in some specific conditions (long time connect, after PC falling asleep...). Since the last Windows update it became systematic to be disconnect after 5-10 minutes. The restart of wireless card through "windows solving internet issue" work each time but it is'nt viable naturally to do that every 5 minutes. I also tried to disable ipv6 but it doesn't change anything.

You could find attached the detailed system report. Feel free to ask more details if you need.

Thank for your help.

PS : Sorry for my english, I'm french native speaker.
